‘You are what you eat, you are how you move’
She played at a high level in Hockey and Athletics representing U19 West of England Hockey and Somerset at the National Schools in the Heptathlon and Hurdles. Sport has always played a major part in Hannah’s life. This April she will be running the London Marathon for The Wooden Spoon the charity of British and Irish Rugby raising money for mentally and physical disadvantaged children. www.woodenspoon.com
She started her training with Cain Leathem at GB Fitness then moved to Agile Fitness, Notting Hill and Body Architecture in Battersea and has now started her internship with
the Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiologist Institute in California (C.H.E.K)
Hannah’s training involves a lot of Swiss Ball work. The Swiss Ball recruits muscles that have often been hibernating for many years, as our modern lifestyles don’t require us to use them. We get driven, or drive; we can shop online and the endless hours slouching in front of a computer. All these activities switch off the most important muscles in the body.
Exercising with a ball `` can stir the enthusiast or the slacker, can exercise the lower portions of the body or the upper, some particular part rather that the whole, or it can exercise all the body parts of the body equally…..is able to give the most intense workout and the gentlest relaxation.``
- Galen (2nd century Greek philosopher and physician)
